Our History

Faith Bible Church began with 10 people as “Broken Chains Ministries” founded by Rev. Sherwood and Beverly Wilson, in 1995 in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The ministry grew out of a home Bible Study and then began having services in hotel meeting space which also became too small. In 1996, the ministry became Faith Bible Church and moved to leased space in a small shopping center all still within the Fort Mill area. The Church under the direction of Pastor Wilson, continued to experience growth and in turn needed larger space. The Church relocated to the Carolinas Point Business Park in Fort Mill and had services in larger leased space for nearly 2 years until it was time to have a facility of its own. In November, 1998, construction began on a 12,000 square foot facility designed to house the Sanctuary and all Children’s Ministry under the same roof. The first services were held in the new Building in March, 1999 and that Sanctuary is still in use today. 

Our church congregation has now grown to a cumulative weekly attendance of 250+. The vision for Faith Bible Church is broad and includes many outreaches which are now active including missions, community outreach and evangelism. Our desire is to influence as many people as we can for God with the His love and the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!
